What’s your group doing today?

Much of our life in Blackstone involves our groups, clubs, organizations, and churches, so here is the place where you can write about, recognize and generally just bring attention to our public life. If more than one person is doing it, write about it.
Why not start a column about your organization or group. Keep us informed about what’s new, what’s interesting, and above all, what you have learned and would like to share. Give you column a name, like Rotary Rooter, and keep us coming back for more. Post whenever you have something to say.
Or there maybe someone in your church that would like to post a column about what’s new there, especially the stories about people who have been helped or encouraged by your church’s good works.
The focus should be not so much on the calendar information, like dates and programs, but the human experience that everyone can relate to. What was learned, what was funny, what was exiting, what’s the hope, what’s the achievement? Ground your column in experience and everything will fall into place. You don’t have to use names, but try to find some feeling to anchor your writing. Once you find a feeling, you have struck the well spring of writing.
Schools can have a column here, perhaps as a class project. If an individual want to have their own personal column, then the category for him or her would be Lifestyle.
