Hello it have been quite a while since I been here, been a little busy. I am quite sure that all of us sometime try to do to many things at once. Most of the time not doing a good job at either.I hope I do not bore you but here we go.
First I would like to think the people who came out to the Art Work Shop that Charles Hartwell and I gave at the Blackstone Art And Craft Show. I myself enjoyed working with everyone who attend the Work Shop I will be taking a little on some of my newer workfirst painting is Amelia Country School 1911 . This was taken from a old photo I saw. It is painting of a old farm wagon changed to a school bus. Auntie is gone this is a painting of a old lady who pass. Here family and so call freinds are busy looking for what the can find of value.I no a lot of will to agree that once you go on to a better place there will be people who will truly miss you. Then on the other hand there will people looking for that pot of gold , if you no what I mean.Third painting is Apple For The Teacher painting of a group of kids going to school with gift for their teacher. Downtown Blackstone Va. ,lo ok for some of the old land marks in this painting. The next painting really bring back a lot of memories to me. I was born in a old wooden frame house across from Old Hammock Store. Many of 1 cent cooklies and candy I have eaten from there .This store like all of the country stores was the place where all the latest new was repeated. It was also a bus stop for the local schools. The last painting is a group of men waving at a bus carrying The Pittsburgh Crawford baseball team (Negro Leauge Team that played up to the late fities. well I hope you enjoyed this bit of writing . Till next time may God bless and keep you safe.

Good evening Mr. Clarke,
I was browsing through FaceBook and saw your art reception being held at the J.Fergerson Gallery. Your work was amazing! Also, my wife’s maiden name was Clarke, with an “E”, but more intriguing is that her father was an amazing african-american artist. All I can say, is your work is beautiful. It truly takes me back, growing up in the country, and seeing the true depictions of african-american life. All that said, my wife and founded an art consultancy in 2008 that focuses on supporting minority artists. We host an exhibition every year called MAE- Minority Art Exhibition, here in Richmond, Virginia and would love to talk to you about possibly displaying your work. Also, each month we feature artists and their works on our blog with the purpose of promotion, education and awareness to the art community. It would be truly blessed to do an online interview if you would be interested. You can reach us at 804-564-6029 or email at info@clarkeartconsulting.com. Look forward talking with you Mr. Clarke.
Thank you Mr. Clarke and Have a blessed day!
Good morning, I saw the painting of Hammocks store and wondered if you lived close to it in October 1964. Would you please let me know, thanks so much.
